Muñoz appointed as Director and Principal Conductor of the CIM Orchestra
We’re delighted to congratulate Tito Muñoz on his recent appointment as Director and Principal Conductor of the CIM Orchestra and Visiting Professor of Orchestral Studies at the Cleveland Institute of Music, effective from September 2026.
Following a highly successful year as Interim Principal Conductor, Tito will lead the Institute’s flagship orchestra, conduct three orchestral programmes each season, and play a central role in shaping the next generation of orchestral musicians through performance, mentorship and professional training.
On his appointment, Tito said:
“What drew me to CIM is the extraordinary level of talent, curiosity and commitment I see in its students. A conservatory orchestra should be a place where young musicians are challenged to perform at the highest artistic level while also developing the confidence, versatility and collaborative skills they will need throughout their careers. I’m honoured to continue building on the work we’ve begun together and to help prepare these remarkable artists for the opportunities ahead.”
Congratulations, Tito, on this exciting new chapter.
