Marwood performs in Belfast

Anthony Marwood joins Ulster Orchestra this week with Elgar’s Violin Concerto and conductor Jac van Steen. The programme ‘Soul Music’, which also includes Vaughan Williams’ Overture “The Wasps” and R. Strauss’ “Der Rosenkavalier” Suite, marks the orchestra’s season finale.
Recently performing the Elgar Violin Concerto with Göttinger Symphonieorchester, Michael Schafer of the Göttinger Tageblatt writes:
“The audience’s attention did not wane anywhere over the entire duration of this concert. Marwood filled the hall with his full, noble tone… At the end, the applause crackled loudly, interspersed with shouts of bravo for the soloist”
Anthony will perform with Ulster Orchestra on Friday 29 May at 19:45 in Belfast’s Ulster Hall.
