Dego makes debuts!
Francesca Dego jumps in to perform Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto No.2 with Milwaukee Symphony today at 11:15 and tomorrow at 19:30. Conducted by Alpesh Chauhan, Francesca makes her debut with the orchestra.
Next week on 24 and 25 February, Francesca debuts with Dortmund Philharmoniker under the baton of Kenneth Woods where she will play Brahms’ Violin Concerto, Op. 77 which Woods and the orchestra pairs with Elgar’s Enigma Variations.
On 26 February, Francesca will give a recital performance in Pavia, northern Italy, with Alessandro Taverna at Cinema Politeama. The concert includes a new piece by Cristian Carrara, which forms part of Francesca’s project ‘Feathers in Time’ which commissions ten of the most important living Italian composers to write solo violin works for her inspired by the poetry of her father. The recital will also feature Korngold’s Sonata in G major, Op. 6, and Strauss’ Sonata in E flat major, Op. 18.
