We are thrilled that The Tallis Scholars have been named as international finalists in the 2025 Limelight Artists of the Year awards. The nomination from the Australian arts and culture magazine follows a triumphant October tour to Australia for the group, singing to sold-out venues and critical acclaim in Melbourne, Canberra, Adelaide, Brisbane, and the iconic Sidney Opera House, a performance which was reviewed by Limelight as being ‘in a word, sublime’. This 2025 tour was the latest of many successful appearances ‘Down Under’ by the group over the last fifty years.

Founded in 1973 by their director, Peter Phillips, The Tallis Scholars have established themselves as the leading exponents of Renaissance sacred music throughout the world. They continue to sing at the very highest level to global audiences, receiving plaudits and awards for their concerts and recordings. 2025/26 season highlights include performances in Japan, the USA, East Asia, and a number of appearances in London as well as their usual touring schedule in the UK and Europe.

Voting for the awards is now open, and will close on Sunday 4th of January. For more information about the competition, and to vote for The Tallis Scholars as Artists of the Year click here
