Maria Włoszczowska closes Dutch tour with Amsterdam Sinfonietta debut
Maria Włoszczowska is rounding up a successful month-long tour with Amsterdam Sinfonietta this weekend with two closing concerts at Amsterdam’s Theater Carré. The tour has taken Maria and the orchestra across the Netherlands as they have performed in many different cities including Haarlem, Arnhem, and Utrecht, and marks her debut with the orchestra. The programme ‘Formidable!’ features classic and modern French chansons from ‘La vie en rose’ by Édith Piaf, ‘Mathilde’ by Jacques Brel, and Stromae’s ‘Formidable’ sung by soloist Thomas Oliemans, interwoven with works for strings including music by Ravel and Debussy.
