This week American conductor, Andrew Litton has returned to the Bournemouth Symphony, for a concert titled ‘Let’s Dance’ in Poole’s Lighthouse Centre for the Arts.

The programme includes Stravinsky’s Divertimento from The Fairy’s Kiss, Saint-Saëns’, Piano Concerto No.2, with soloist Simon Trpčeski, and Ravel’s Valses nobles et sentimentales and La Valse.

Andrew has a long-standing relationship with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra having been Principal Conductor between 1988-1994. During this time, he led the orchestra on their first American tour and produced 14 recordings, including the Grammy-winning Belshazzar’s Feast. Now as their Conductor Laureate, Andrew regularly returns to conduct the Orchestra, bringing his ‘unique energy and zest’ to the UK’s southwest coast.
