Tomorrow, Enrique Mazzola conducts the opening night of Francesca Zambello’s striking production of Verdi’s Aida at the Lyric Opera of Chicago. Aida, one of Verdi’s most glorious scores brings us the grandest of triumphal marches, contrasted with scenes of riveting intimacy for the principal characters. Michelle Bradley and Russell Thomas are the two main protagonists (Aida and Radames), joined by Jamie Barton (Amneris) and Reginald Smith Jr. (Amonasro).

Music Director Enrique Mazzola, internationally acknowledged as an exceptionally authoritative Verdian, conducts eight performances from 9th March to 1st April 2024.
