Over the coming two weeks, violin virtuoso Hyeyoon Park takes Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto on tour to South Africa for performances with the Johannesburg Philharmonic and conductor Bernhard Gueller, and the KwaZulu-Natal Philharmonic and conductor Leon Bosch. Last appearing with the orchestras in 2022 for Bruch’s Violin Concerto, Hyeyoon makes a much-anticipated return to both ensembles with the Tchaikovsky, another significant landmark of the repertory.

A year of welcome returns, Hyeyoon began 2024 performing Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto No. 1 with the Stuttgart Philharmonic, following a year of critically acclaimed performances with the Hallé Orchestra and Royal Northern Sinfonia, and appearances earlier this season in Laeiszhalle Hamburg and the Concertgebouw Amsterdam.
