Andrew Litton will make his debut with the Royal Ballet at Covent Garden this Wednesday, 6th of December.

Andrew’s work as Music Director for the New York City Ballet has earned praise from critics, dancers, and audiences, bringing new prominence to the Ballet’s orchestra. He began his ballet work while still a Juilliard student, performing as on-stage pianist for Rudolf Nureyev, Natalia Makarova, and Cynthia Gregory. Andrew will now open Peter Wright’s ever-popular production of The Nutcracker for The Royal Ballet. With classic designs by Julia Trevelyan Oman, this production ‘keeps true to the spirit of this festive ballet classic, combining the thrill of the fairy tale with spectacular dancing.’

The production will open this Wednesday and run until the 13th January 2024. Tickets for all performances have nearly sold out, with only a few remaining online and through the Royal Opera House Box Office.

Audiences can also attend live cinema screenings across the UK and Europe on Tuesday 12 December 2023, with further screenings on Sunday 17 December. More information.
