Artist in Residence – Benjamin’s first concert of the season with BSO
9th December 2020 sees Benjamin’s opening concert as Artist in Residence this season with Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. He will perform Chopin’s E minor Concerto “abounding in melodies of indescribably expressive sweetness”. His recording of the Chopin concertos on Decca Classics won the Gramophone Concerto Award earlier this autumn. The BSO will be conducted by Marta Gardolińska, and the concert will be presented by BBC Radio 3 broadcaster Sarah Walker.
The event will be livestreamed with tickets costing £6 and available on demand for 30 days after the performance on the BSO website (pay walled). Tickets will be on sale for a small live audience, subject to lockdown rules.
