Royal Ballet on tour with José Salazar
Conductor José Salazar appears with the Royal Ballet in Tokyo this weekend where he will conduct the production’s five performances in Kawaguchi Lilia Hall. In the past month he has led a ten performance run of Sir Frederick Ashton’s much loved ballet in Covent Garden.
José also serves as Assistant Conductor for the Royal Ballet’s productions of Giselle. Performances begin on 10 July 2026 at Tokyo’s NHK Hall.
Following two seasons as a Jette Parker Artist at the Royal Opera House, and his previous performances of La fille mal gardée in November 2025, José is delighted to return once again this summer in the UK and Japan.
We wish José the very best for the weeks ahead – toi toi toi!
