Francesca Dego’s recent performances with Orquesta Ciudad de Granada have received critical acclaim.  Performing Samuel Barber’s Violin Concerto with conductor Lucas Macias for the orchestra’s season finale concerts, Emilio Lacárcel of IDEAL writes:

“Francesca Dego performed as soloist, a top-notch violinist who honoured the music with her great technique.  A brilliant and clean sound, total confidence in the rapid scales, virtuosity balanced with expressiveness – all of this in Dego’s performance which left an excellent impression”.

Gonzalo Roldán of Granada Hoy comments:

“The presence of Francesca Dego on stage was of the evening’s main highlights…  Her selection to tackle Samuel Barber’s Violin Concerto, Op. 14, proved especially fitting.  Few 20th century works demand such a delicate balance between lyrical discourse and a considerably demanding and technical solo line, challenges that Francesca Dego more than met with her masterful performance”.
