James Brown Management is delighted to share the news that distinguished French violinist Augustin Dumay will return to Warner Classics for a major new series of recordings over the coming years.

The first release will be Volume 1 of Bach’s complete Sonatas and Partitas in April 2026, followed by Dumay’s first-ever recording of the Brahms Violin Concerto with the Philharmonia Orchestra and Eliahu Inbal. Further projects are already planned, including Bach Volume 2.

Alain Lanceron, President of Warner Classics, comments: “Augustin has been closely associated with our label in the past, and it is therefore a great pleasure to welcome him again into our home. These new recordings will represent the culmination of his long and distinguished career.”

Internationally acclaimed as ‘one of the modern violin greats’ with a ‘sound to die for’, Dumay’s discography already spans over 40 recordings for EMI, Deutsche Grammophon, Warner Classics, and Onyx Classics, earning multiple international awards.

We’re excited to celebrate this new chapter in Dumay’s remarkable career and look forward to the first release next spring. In the meantime, we are pleased to share a short documentary, reflecting on his journey to date here.
