Augustin Dumay, one of the great violinists of the last half-century, will appear at Wigmore Hall at 7.30pm on Sunday 14th September with his frequent recital partner, the distinguished pianist Denis Kozhukhin. The programme features Schumann’s Three Romances Op. 94, Brahms’ Sonata in A Op. 100 and Scherzo from the F.A.E. Sonata and Beethoven’s Sonata No. 7 in C minor Op. 30 No. 2. Dumay plays a 1743 Guarnerius del Gesu, which was formerly the violin of Leonid Kogan.
