James Brown Management is delighted to announce the signing of British trumpeter Imogen Whitehead for worldwide general management.

With a growing international profile, Imogen enjoys a dynamic career as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral principal. A passionate advocate for new music and champion of the flugelhorn, she has premiered numerous works by composers including Sally Beamish and Stephen Dodgson – many of which feature on her recently released debut solo album, Connection.

Recent and upcoming highlights include concerto appearances with Britten Sinfonia, recitals at St Martin-in-the-Fields and Wimbledon International Music Festival, and international tours with the London Symphony Orchestra and Aurora Orchestra.

Imogen commented on the new collaboration:
“I am over the moon to be joining the artist roster at James Brown Management. It feels like a great fit for me and we’re already brimming with ideas – I can’t wait to get started!”

Imogen is Principal Trumpet of Britten Sinfonia, a member of Neoteric Ensemble, and Artist-in-Residence with St Martin’s Voices. She also plays an active role in music education and community engagement, regularly leading masterclasses across UK conservatoires and contributing to projects with major orchestras and the gender-equality initiative, GALSI.

We are thrilled to welcome Imogen to JBM and look forward to supporting this exciting next chapter in her career.
