In the same week that he was included in Classic FM’s Rising Stars 2025 lineup, conductor José Salazar has now been announced as one of the Los Angeles Philharmonic’s 2025/26 Dudamel Fellows.

During the fellowship José will work closely with Gustavo Dudamel, the LA Philharmonic musicians, visiting artists and conductors, and students in LA Phil education programs such as YOLA (Youth Orchestra Los Angeles) and Symphonies for Youth.

‘I am proud to have been selected as one of the next Dudamel Fellows with the LA Philharmonic for the season 2025/2026, which happens to be a very special one, as it is the last season in LA for one of my idols and mentors, the great Gustavo Dudamel. I am so looking forward to the weeks of learning, hard-study and great music’.

Huge congratulations to José and all of the 25/26 Dudamel Fellows: Migfuel Sepúlveda, Ana María Patiño-Osorio and Kinga Głowacka.
