Alpesh Chauhan has been nominated for an RPS Award in the Conductor category, supported by Schott Music. Alongside his colleagues François-Xavier Roth and Alice Farnham, the RPS will announce the winner at their annual ceremony at the Royal Northern College of Music on 5 March 2024.

Fresh from his successful debut with the Toronto Symphony with violinist Ray Chen, Alpesh looks forward to forthcoming projects including his debut with Oslo Philharmonic featuring pianist Stephen Hough. Over the next few weeks, Alpesh conducts Bruckner’s 7th, 8th and 9th Symphonies with Odense, La Fenice and BBC Scottish, celebrating Bruckner’s 200th birthday, culminating in a performance at The Glasshouse as part of the ‘Big Bruckner weekend’.

The release of his latest album on Chandos has just been announced and continues to explore the rich treasure-trove of Tchaikovsky’s orchestral works with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and will be released on 15 March.
