North of the Arctic Circle, Christian Kluxen conducts a newly staged production of Grieg’s Peer Gynt with the Arctic Philharmonic this week. Directed by Antony Ernst and in cooperation with Hålogaland Teater, the production features the Arctic Philharmonic, of whom Christian is Chief Conductor, and three actors, and provides a rare opportunity to experience the complete incidental music composed by Edvard Grieg to Henrik Ibsen’s popular play. Performances take place in Bodø and in Tromsø, where it opens the Northern Lights Festival.
