Francesca Dego’s debut with NHK Symphony Orchestra
Francesca makes her long awaited debut with NHK Symphony Orchestra this month, led by their incoming principal conductor Fabio Luisi. Written in three movements, Paganini’s 1st Violin Concerto shows the Italian bel canto influence, particularly that of the younger contemporary Rossini, and the later audition of military band instruments gives the piece a distinct military sound. The opening concert on 24th November will take place in Suntory Hall, Tokyo and will be broadcast on NHK TV and FM radio, with a further concert there on 25th November. The remaining two concerts will be held in Osaka (27th) and Nagoya (28th).
