Fresh from her studio recording at Maida Vale with BBC Symphony Orchestra last month, this week Francesca takes the rarely-performed but much-admired Bologne Chevalier de Saint-Georges Violin Concerto in A major to the National Symphony Orchestra in Washington as part of the Wolf Trap Festival. Italian violinist Francesca said ‘It’s like fireworks! It’s actually extraordinary – I think it’s a really, really great piece’.

You can listen to Francesca perform the Bologne with the BBC Symphony Orchestra here for a limited time only on Radio 3/BBC Sounds (Track 2).

Conducted once again by Jonathon Heyward, she is greatly looking forward to performing the Bologne over the pond with two performances on 8 and 9 July 2021 at the Wolf Trap Festival.
