Carlos Izcaray continues his association with the Orquestra Sinfónica do Porto Casa da Música this month, with two concerts in Portugal.

The first programme is dedicated entirely to music from, or associated with, the Americas, including works by Silvestre Revueltas, Igor Stravinski  and Alberto Ginastera.

The second programme includes much-loved works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Johann Strauss II, Ambroise Thomas, Zoltán Kodály, Astor Piazzolla and Piotr Tchaikovsky.

Carlos Izcaray is Music Director of the Alabama Symphony Orchestra and the American Youth Symphony. He also has a rapidly growing reputation as a composer.
