Olli Mustonen returns to Japan

This week, Olli Mustonen is seen in recital at the Musashino Civic Cultural Hall in Tokyo with a programme of Beethoven and Bach; the second of a pair of recitals this season combining those composers.
Following that, he appears with the Sapporo Symphony Orchestra. Under the baton of Kentaro Kawase, Mustonen performs Prokofiev’s third Piano Concerto on Saturday 22 April and Sunday 23 April.
The works of Prokofiev are among those which are particularly close to Mustonen’s heart. A recently completed recording project has been all of Prokofiev’s piano concertos for the Ondine label.
